Pilates After Cancer Treatment

Pilates after cancer treatment

At Variety Box, we believe in the power of movement—not just for fitness, but for healing, confidence, and connection.

That’s why we’re proud to support PACT (Pilates After Cancer Treatment), a truly special class designed for individuals who are living with or recovering from cancer.

Finding Strength in Stillness: How Gail’s PACT Pilates Class Is Helping Cancer Survivors Rebuild

When local instructor and former nurse Gail was first approached by a colleague in 2013 about setting up a Pilates class for people living with or recovering from cancer, it was clear she was the ideal person for the job.

With her background in nursing, midwifery, and Pilates, she brought a rare combination of compassion, clinical knowledge, and movement expertise to the project.

Together, they created PACT – Pilates After Cancer Treatment—a weekly class designed not just to support physical recovery, but to nurture emotional healing and rebuild confidence in a gentle, welcoming space.

Over the years, the class has become more than just a Pilates session.

It’s become a community.

One long-standing participant summed it up beautifully: “It’s not just a Pilates class. It’s a place where I’ve made friends, found laughter again, and slowly rebuilt my confidence.”

Through carefully structured movement, meaningful connection, and a deeply supportive atmosphere, Gail’s class continues to offer hope and healing to those who need it most.

That’s the heart of PACT.
